After the Autumnal Equinox, the autumn atmosphere becomes more intense.However, at the construction site of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, it is bustling and vigorous. The overall cost of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge project is approximately 70 billion yuan, with a total length of 49,968 meters. The main project includes a 5,664-meter underwater tunnel, with a design lifespan of 120 years and the ability to withstand an 8-degree earthquake and a 16-level typhoon. After the completion of the bridge, traveling from Hong Kong to Zhuhai and Macao will be significantly shortened from 4 to 5 hours to approximately 30 minutes.

The four artificial islands are iconic and related. Each artificial island will become a comprehensive operation center integrating transportation, management, services, rescue, and tourism functions. In addition to the artificial islands, there is also a Baihe Dolphin Viewing Area and an offshore viewing platform designed. After the completion of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, due to the traffic capacity limitations of the Macao road network, there will be two large parking lots on the artificial islands.

Over 5,500 parking spaces will be reserved for vehicles from outside Hong Kong, and 2,000 parking spaces will be set up in front of the departure channel, mainly for vehicles from Macao.
The Zhuhai-Macao Border Crossing artificial island is an important part of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. It is 930 to 960 meters wide from east to west and 1,930 meters long from north to south. The total area of land reclamation for this project is nearly 220,000 square meters, and the total construction cost is 1.835 billion yuan. Based on the tidal water level data, the ground elevation of the artificial island is set at 5 meters, capable of defending against floods of 300-year recurrence in the Pearl River Estuary. After the completion of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Zhuhai Border Crossing is divided into four areas: Inspection Building A, Inspection Building B, Transportation Center, and Transportation Corridor. Among them, the total construction area of the Inspection Building is 169,498 square meters. As a landmark building, the Macao Border Crossing set on the same island as the Zhuhai Border Crossing is one of the important supporting projects of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. After completion, it will become a land border connecting Zhuhai, Macao, and Hong Kong and facilitating the interconnection of the three regions.
